Better Late than Never

Ayyyyyyy Everybodaayyyyy :)

Long time, no talk. Finishing up this semester has been SUPER stressful. I just can’t wait until finals next week are OVERWITH!!!

ANYONE ELSE SOOOO EXCITED FOR SUMMER?!?! :) ))

Today has been FABULOUS :) Woke up early and headed to the gym (i’ve been going in the evenings) but I had forgotten just how great it felt to start my day this way!!!

Tomorrow I will get back into my daily pictchaaa takinggg :)

TONIGHT=

- take nutrition test

- write 5 page paper for English (Topic= childhood obesity)

- Pilates :)

HELP!

So, I recently bought JayRobbs Egg White protein

so yuck.

IT TASTED LIKE THEY MIGHT HAVE SWITCHED SALT FOR SUGAR!

I have never tasted something so salty in my life, it was inedible. Maybe it was this batch?!?! IDK…

Well, I am going out tomorrow to get a different brand, as well as some stevia :) mmm!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BRAND?!?! I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR ADVICE!!!

Slow start, but a SOLID finish!

So, my FIRST goes off at 7:30am, and got shut off. My SECOND alarm went off at 8am, and I shut it off. BUT I FAILED TO WAKE UP. Once I did wake up, my clock said 10:10am, and I had to leave for class at 11:30am. This means: NO MORNING GYM TIME :( UGH!

So, I simply thought “Fortunately, I get out of class at 6:30pm. I will bring a snack and hit the gym after!”

I grabbed a couple cups of coffee and made some breakfast:

SO GOOD!

Classes were crazy. I just want this semester to be FINISHED! I brought a few things to snack on in case I went into a hunger coma while in class and needed some sugaaa to energize me!

Yummy snacks; I only ate the banana though.

I wasn’t hungry during class && just wanted the banana to fuel up for an AWESOME workout!

CARDIO feels SOOOO good. I’m not sure why, but it really feels great to get those endorphines pumpin!

My parents saved me some of their veggies they made for their dinner (how they knew I was craving veggies post-workout, I will never figure out!)

The appetizer:

Roasted Asparagus on a bed of broccoli & squash!

Tonight I just REALLY wanted some veggies!!! I always eat a protein snack at night, and because this meal was at 8pm, I kept it light:

Peas, carrots, corn, lima beans, and green beans :)

YUMMY IN MY TUMMY.

Now, off to make a yogurt snack and work on some art for my class tomorrow!

Camera = MIA!

Someone has STOLEN my camera :(

I’ve had a YUCKY virus for the past few days.. fever, sore throat, aches, YUCK!

BUT I’m mostly better, and TOTALLY stressing about school stuff. THE END OF THE YEAR IS SO SOON!

I can’t wait to get through these past next few weeks! UGH!

BOOORRRINGGGG post, but I figured a boring post is better than NO post!

I NEED TO MAKE A LISTS for: – goals  – to do  – to stop  – assignments due  

TOO MUCH IN MY HEAD!!!!

QUESTIONS!!!!

1) I want to get a couple of protein powders this Sunday, and I’m debating whether to get a Whey protein OR a Vegan Protein OR a Brown Rice protein… Hmm… My goal is to lean up but not to BULK up!

2) What is YOUR favorite night time snack???

Today is going so well!

Second:

Today = slept in, BEAUTIFUL DAY, ate a yummy breakfast of Fage 0%, berries, and a Kashi Honey Flax Granola bar crumbled in it, I went to the gym for an hour, and come home to this yummy refreshing refuel-age:

Goji + clementine = Yummy in my TUMMY!

And now it’s time to go to work! WOOO :)

The day of the strokes.

Today was a day that was WONDERFUL and TERRIBLE all at the same time.

I am a FIRM believer in BAD news first, followed by the GOOD because it’s important to end on a HAPPY note when possible.

THE SAD:

-I found out my dad’s good friend passed away from heart failure this afternoon.

- I found out my aunt had a stroke this evening.

THE HAPPY:

1. Doing my business hw within 30 minutes of waking up (with only 1 cup of coffee pumpin in me, might I add!)

2. Cleaned my room, and decided to take some time to calm down after yesterday and work on my wall painting:

A cherry blossom tree- in the making!

3. BEAUTIFUL SUNNY 75 deg. weather/Found a shirt that I’ve been looking for/I fit in my old Hollister capris!

Bunched up middle because it can be worn as a SHORT dress!

4. I made a YUMMY new concoction in 15 min for dinner in between class that was SOOO GOOD:

Sweet n’ Spicy Sunshine Burger!

Recipe: 1 Morning Star Spicy Black Bean burger, sauteed red orange & yellow peppers, onion, 1 TB low sodium Terryaki sauce. MMMMMMMMM!

5. Improved in my art class using charcoal! I HATE CHARCOAL. Such an icky feeling on my hands, totally creeps me out. I like pencil/paint/pastels/etc. Here are a couple examples of my work:

QUESTION:

 I want to join a challenge to achieve my fitness goal, but I’m not sure what yet… hm…

I hate pressure.

I truly do. Pressure has got to be one of the WORST things in life.

BUT I will not stress, as much as I want to, and simply calm down. UGH. :)

Here are a few snapshots of what I’ve been eating yesteday/today:

My MOCK peach cobbler breakfast w. fresh strawberries on the side!

Fruity 'Nilla Yogurt Mess!

1 c. Fage 0%, 1/2 c. peaches & berries, 1/4 c. Fiber 1, vanilla extract and suncrystals :)

THE BEST SNACK EVER!

PPP- Protein Parm' Pizza!

PPP- 1/2 low carb tortilla folded over, 1 parm Boca burger heated & mixed with onion, 1 T tom sauce to hold it, 1 low fat motz stick on top, and a sprinkle of parm…. It was an interesting concoction, next time I’d add a little more tom sauce fo-shoooo!

I am SOOOOO ready for this semester to over and finished with! I really would love to start doing Yoga soon to become a calmer person.

Tomorrow is going to be a stressful day… I hope to start it with Pilates since I wont have time to do my routine at the gym due to stupid projects and papers due tomorrow. Tonight is going to be a late night :/

My next post will be a positive one, I promise!

The day of rest.

Everyone says sunday is the day of rest… so that’s exactly what I did!

I had COFFEE :) did some cleaning to work up my appetite for breakfast:

OATMEAL, duh!

1/4 c oatmeal, 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 TB WCW pb, raisins, suncrystals = MMMMMMMMMM!

Lunch:

Raw lunch for me today!

1 sweet potato + squash, zuccini, onion medely = YUM! Except I couldn’t eat it all because I added too much pepper and it set me on FIRE! wheewwwww.

My sister and I went to the grocery store && ran errands. Somehow we spent $250 at the store (JEEZE!) You could definately tell that we healthy eaters when half the cart is produce alone. I snapped a shot of a few protein bars to add to the collection in my car to eat at work since I need a lot of energy to run around:

I already have a few Luna Bars in there, so these will be a nice add on. I always bring a fruit or veggie to pair it with if I know I’ll be running around for several hours.

I watched the Blind Side with my family with some OATS! (w. Mighty Maple pb & cocoa) with strawberries and a pear.

Yea I definately bought Tofu, Temph, and Cottage Cheese for the first time. We’ll see how that goes. Gotta add in a little more protein to lean up! Maybe Ill get some Whey Protein tomorrow.. hmm…

Saturday Insanity.

Wheewww yesterday was a busy day!

It started early when the yard people came to relandscape our yard.

9am- I had an apple to rev up my metabolism && COFFEE (of course) ;)

Natures Promise Goji are BY FAR my favorite :)

11:20am- Got back from running errands & had a preworkout snack

B0-nana w/my tree I painted on my wall in the background.

Remember how I said I was going to KILL IT @ the gym today… I kept my promise :D torched 850 cal in an hour on the elliptical! I felt so accomplished!

I came home, ate some OATS w. CRS pb, egg whites (for protein) and raisins. I was so tired from the workout so I had ANOTHER cup of coffee; I have a problem haha

5:30 – Dinner was this :

Dark green salad w. FF italian (as always)

 

Spicy Black Bean Veggie burger w. onion/pickle/mustard/BBQ drop.

This is seriously SO GOOD! I mixed all of the condiments in the bowl and put it ontop. MMMM GOOD!

Work was great :) I’m a banquet server leader & I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. It’s a chaotic job, lots of running around, and schedule-ly. I am a VERY schedule-ly type of person. I am ALSO a perfectionist, which would explain my love for schedules and lists.

9pm- at work, I had another small banana & Kashi Crunch Chocolate Almond bar to energize me to keep running around.

I got home late HUNGRY and TIRED. Late night snack time :)

1/4 c. oats, 1/3 c. egg whites, 1 TB DCD pb, 1 tsp. cocoa, suncrystals

After a long day, this HIT THE SPOT! Sooo good!

I really want to try tofu and cottage cheese this week. Any favorite recipes you guys want to hook me up with?

Rain to Shine.

Today started sooo gloomy! SLEEPY HOLLOWWW :O

Super Rainy = Super gloomy Paige!

The usual cup-a-jo!

 Coffee always perks me up, no matter what the trouble is: sleepyness, sadness, RAINNESS. I hate the rain, YUCKY!!!

I AM SO STUPID: I had to insert new batteries in the camera… DUH!

BOO RAIN!

 I had HALF of my Healthy Peach Cobbler breakfast since I was having lunch with a couple friends at their campus.

Lunch = small salad, small piece of a grilled eggplant sandwich

Snack= I RARELY have icecream (or treats like this since I am trying to achieve my fitness goal) but I promised my sister we would go today…

All Lovin' No Oven (Like It size)

 Worth every bite :)

Dinner = Salad w. fat free italian dressing && homemade low fat tortilla pizza!

Dark leafy greens are so good for you!

Yummy in my tummy!

Recipe: 1 whole grain tortilla, 1 low calorie/fat motz cheese stick inside, 1 spoon tom sauce w. garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, oregano, 1 tsp. tom paste, onion chopped up on the top && a little parm cheese sprinkle! YUM!!!

My tummy hurt SO BAD from the icecream (I’m not used to all the sugar!) So dinner was LATEEEE! 

BUT THE SUN CAME OUT && today became SO MUCH BETTER!

LOVE a sunset on the farm <3

Today was fantastic, just wish I had a chance to HIT THE GYM :(

But that’s totally ok, tomorrow morning I will KILL IT && be running around at work to continue my fitness journey (which I would love to achieve for SO many reasons.) I think I can, I think I can…

Have a good friday night everyone! I am off to make a snack of some fruit && yogurt OR small bowl of oats.. hmmm..
